You will install sub-slab depressurization systems that make homes safer to live in, running pipe, mounting fans, sealing entry points, and testing your own work before you leave the job site. No two homes are the same, so you will problem-solve on foundations, crawlspaces, and basements while working both outdoors and in tight spaces. This is hands-on skilled trade work with a clear path to running your own crew and earning your NRPP certification.

What you'll do:

  • Install sub-slab depressurization (SSD) systems, including pipe runs, sealing, and roof or side-wall fan venting
  • Core through concrete slabs and drill through rim joists, walls, and roof decking to route PVC piping
  • Mount and wire in-line radon fans and set up U-tube manometers and system labels per code
  • Seal sump lids, foundation cracks, and other soil-gas entry points with polyurethane sealant
  • Use a manometer to verify negative pressure and confirm system performance before leaving the site
  • Load, organize, and maintain a service van stocked with fans, PVC, sealant, and power tools
  • Talk directly with homeowners about system placement, fan noise, and basic maintenance
  • Complete accurate job photos, documentation, and permit paperwork for each install

What you'll need:

  • Valid driver's license and a driving record clean enough to operate a company vehicle
  • Comfortable working in crawlspaces, attics, and basements, and on ladders and roofs
  • Able to lift and carry 50+ lbs of pipe, fans, and tools, and be on your feet for full shifts
  • Basic familiarity with hand and power tools such as drills, saws, and caulk guns
  • Authorized to work in the US

Nice to have:

  • NRPP or NRSB radon mitigation certification, or willingness to obtain one (company will sponsor)
  • Prior experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or general construction
  • Comfort with basic electrical wiring for fan power connections

Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday with occasional Saturday installs; daytime hours, some travel within the service area.
