What you'll do:
- Lead a two-to-three person crew through full SSD system installs, from site assessment to final testing
- Assign on-site tasks: piping, sealing, fan mounting, and cleanup
- Read foundation layouts and choose the optimal pipe routing and fan placement for each home
- Perform final manometer and smoke-stick checks to confirm negative pressure before sign-off
- Train and mentor junior technicians on sealing technique, code requirements, and safety
- Talk directly with homeowners about system operation, warranty, and any post-install questions
- Track crew hours, materials used, and job-completion paperwork
- Coordinate daily with the office on scheduling, permits, and inspection requirements
What you'll need:
- 1-2+ years of hands-on radon mitigation or closely related trade experience (HVAC, plumbing, electrical)
- Valid driver's license and comfort driving and backing a work truck or trailer
- Able to lift 50+ lbs, work on ladders and roofs, and be on your feet for full shifts
- Working knowledge of local and state radon mitigation codes and standards
- Authorized to work in the US
Nice to have:
- NRPP or NRSB certification, or willingness to obtain one (company will sponsor)
- Prior lead or supervisory experience on a field crew
- Familiarity with permitting and inspection processes in Ohio jurisdictions
